Life Changers

Life Changers is a real estate development company that builds affordable housing for homeless veterans, low income, disabled and elderly clients…hopefully all over the Arab world too. It is a project funded by private donors, matched overseas by the third world development fund, and here in the USA matched hopefully by funding from the US government’s Housing and Urban Development, and veterans administration agencies.

Life Changers gives hope to the hopeless for a better life and a better future. It also provides housing and education and training in construction jobs, hospitality and even television and theatre production, and music and singing classes. For drug addicts and alcoholics, It also offers recovery programs from drug and alcohol addiction where clients are housed first in dorms for a 15 day detox, then they continue to live in another dorm next door for the next thirty days, while attending groups and classes educating them about the harm that alcohol and drugs do to the human brain, therefore diminishing their mental capacity as well as weakening the body so that the person becomes unable to care for themselves.

As clients earn more privileges by staying sober, attending al the classes, doing their shores, they move up to a two man room, eventually moving to their own room and if they stay sober for one year their own apartment, where they pay a third of their income for rent. The actual building will hopefully be built by low income and homeless workers ( who are first admitted in emergency and transitional housing programs ) and used to teach them construction industry skills.

The facility will hopefully include a small theatre, a small TV station and small café/restaurant…All facilities will be used to train clients for high paying jobs. My hope is to duplicate all this in all third world countries through US Aid and UN third world development organizations. I am still hoping though that we can co-operate with all G-12 countries to solve the world’s housing and alcohol and drug addiction problems. This is the pitch targeting investors: I had uploaded it as well when I applied to a US Aid position, but without this note.

LIFE CHANGERS DEVELOPMENT PROCESS.

Life Changers is a. non-governmental agency, a global nonprofit organization, a real estate development company that builds low income housing, nationally and internationally. It relies on the expertise of veterans globally, lead by US veterans , army corp of engineers and other personnel who after executing the mission in the USA, train other veterans in other countries that have expertise in engineering, construction and civil engineering. It builds low income housing projects with recreation, proximity to schools and colleges, and quality of life as its main theme.

Life Changers starts here in the California bay area and central valley, by hopefully owners of abandoned buildings and other structures agreeing to let veterans remodel their properties , thus providing the labor in exchange for these owners guaranteeing homeless veterans and other low income workers, permanent housing in one of the apartments, or houses. They will continue to live there as long as they keep providing ongoing maintenance of these properties.

It also partners with abandoned hotels and restaurants , movie theaters and other abandoned or low performing businesses, and contracts with their owners to reopen these businesses with volunteer unpaid help, guaranteeing employment and partnership in the business as the new revamped businesses start showing profit, high performing volunteers who are only paid a federal stipend or working in exchange for their general relief checks , or doing their community service hours, will become permanent employees , if their performance is noticed by their managers.

Previously homeless veterans who do not wish to participate in any volunteer work, will have to find employment as soon as possible, and pay market rate rents if they need help to find new permanent homes, they are also provided if they wish with a microloan to start a small business in their career field or according to their work experience. They also have the option of pursuing a higher education. Their only choice is upward mobility.

Life Changers starts in California and hopefully will expand nationwide rejuvenating inner cities, abandoned farms, and expands into third world countries, Mexico, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe wherever there is a need for low income housing and wherever the message of hope for a better future needs to become a reality.

It also relies for labor on youth at risk, ex-prisoners , teaching them construction , plumbing, electrical trades in a carefully designed on the job training program. In the US it is funded hopefully by the Department of housing and development, the veterans administration, as well as corporate donors.

Internationally, it is funded hopefully by the world bank, and international development agency. as well as corporate donors, and successful businessmen and women from all faiths in an attempt to bridge the gap and turn interfaith dialogue into action. We the USA must be the spearhead that sends the light into the darkness and make this happen.

The right agencies in Washington DC is where it all starts, as we urge other nations to partake and improve the living conditions of their citizens.

I personally, am trying to help my brother Akram fifty-six years old who lives in Mreijat Bekaa Lebanon , my birth place , my brother Nazeer sixty-three years old, my sister Nazeera sixty years old who live in Salima Metn Lebanon.

They are also disabled and living in abject poverty. I haven’t heard anything about them since 1995 when I visited Lebanon. Akram lives in a house, it is so old it is about to collapse on top of him and his family. I want to remodel Akram’s house and help his twenty four year old son start a business, I want to also be able to visit my family in Lebanon once a year and spend the summer there.

I do not know where the money will come from, and I have been praying every day for it. I know I can’t do it by myself, but I know that God and holly spirit can. God is greater than any of our trials and tribulations.

NOTE:

This is my concept for my nonprofit corporation Life Changers, but I also have three for profit corporation concepts

1-A Middle Eastern /restaurant/sober nightclub offering healing drinks and meals, and classical Arabic music concerts, which will hopefully become a franchise.

2-A small to medium size business consulting firm, with offices globally starting with one here in the bay area.

3- A five star hotel that will also be a hospital treating patients with herbs holistic medicine and other natural means like healing teas, juices, meals etc...

I want to put a lot of veterans to work, also a lot of qualified people who have barriers to employment regardless what country they live in.

I want to also open an office in Beirut Lebanon, the banking capital of the Middle East, that way I can get funding from the Arab world and also a branch of the restaurant nightclub to spread sobriety and the message of hope. There are also a lot of Christian Lebanese and others who would love to be a part of this.

I understand that you may not want to get involved in any overseas stuff, but I was hoping that the people in Washington can help me, and I am flexible willing to mold my concepts according to requirements etc...
